Though most of the people have a very general and pre conceived notion about a couple i.e. they stay together or meet often, go out for dates and basically are there for each other at all times. But, one stark contrast to this concept of love is long distance love. Long distance relationships are considered to be relationships that never work out or materialize. However, this needs not be true in all of the cases. There are innumerable couples who are engaged in long distance relationships and still have the element of romance going strong between them.
It is a fact that no individual would like to get into a relationship where they cannot be with the person they love. Then how does long distance love come into existence? The couples who are engaged in long distance love are merely left at the mercy of technology i.e. web, phone and emails in order to stay in touch with each other or to make a tough choice, deciding to continue the relationship though. They may not be able to spend time with each other or even see each other for a long period of time.
One of the most important pre requisites for a successful long distance love is the element of understanding, sacrifice and adjustment between the two partners. Though, they may not be able to meet each other regularly but can continue to stay in touch with each other and stay connected over the phone.
It is important for both the partners to stay constantly connected to each other over the phone by talking to each other everyday. Though they need not indulge in lengthy conversations, which may give you a run for your money over the phone bill, but a short call in order to remain in constant touch with each other is not such a bad idea.
For most of the couples, online services, such as instant messaging and emails also play an important role. Though there are several modes available for better communication between the two partners, talking over the phone remains the unbeatable and best option for communicating as it can allow listening to each other’s voice and feeling connected unlike other web service where they can communicate through text messages send over the net.
